Michael Kupinski – Director of Research;
Senior Research Analyst, Media and Entertainment
Michael
Kupinski joined Noble Financial in 2007 as director of
research and Media & Entertainment senior research
analyst. Before joining the company, he was the vice
president and Media & Entertainment analyst for A.G. Edwards
for twenty-three years. He is a member of the National Cable
Television Society Foundation and the National Association
of Broadcasters. He was a columnist for the Pulse of
Radio, a broadcast radio trade publication, and a
trustee of the National Television Academy. The Wall
Street Journal selected Mr. Kupinski as a “Best on the
Street” All-Star Analyst in 1996, 1997, 1999, 2001, 2003,
and in 2004 for his stock picking skills. Mr. Kupinski is
widely quoted in national publications such as USA Today,
The Wall Street Journal, and The New York
Times, and is a frequent guest on cable news networks
CNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg TV.
Nathan Cali joined Noble in 2008 as a research associate for Dr. Brian McCarthy. Prior to joining Noble, Mr. Cali was an account analyst/manager at Franklin Templeton and an analyst at the residential real estate development firm, Integrity Development. Previously, he was a manager on the legal team dealing in finance, taxation, patents, and business development for the biotechnology firm, Andrx, which was purchased by Watson Pharmaceuticals in 2006. Mr. Cali holds a B.S. in Finance from The Florida State University and an M.B.A. in Finance from Nova Southeastern University. Nathan also currently holds series 7, 86, and 87 FINRA designations.
Vincent A. Colicchio, CFA – Senior
Research Analyst Mr. Colicchio brings to Noble Financial fifteen years of experience in equity research, both as a sell-side analyst and as a buy-side analyst/portfolio manager. Prior to joining Noble in 2006, he was Sterling Financial’s senior research analyst covering business services companies. From January 2002 to December 2003, Mr. Colicchio worked as an analyst and portfolio manager at U.S. Global Investors, an asset management firm providing specialized mutual funds. During his tenure at U.S. Global Investors, Mr. Colicchio co-managed a large capitalization equity fund and a China region equity fund, both of which outperformed the respective peer groups. At Southwest Securities, a regional firm based in Dallas, Texas, from 1997 to 2001, he was the senior research analyst covering business services. He has an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business, a B.A. in Economics from Rutgers University, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Research Analyst
Mark Miller – Senior
Research Analyst Mark Miller joined Noble as its senior research analyst in the Technology sector covering Enterprise Hardware. With more than thirty years experience, he offers a unique industry perspective with past positions at 3M, NASA, Seagate, Control Data, and Read-Rite Corp. In addition, Mr. Miller is an accomplished analyst, recognized by Forbes/StarMine as an All-Star Analyst for the accuracy of his earnings estimations in 2006, and by the Wall Street Journal’s “Best on the Street” in 2005 and 2006. His coverage areas include data storage, semiconductor equipment, lasers, photonics, and test equipment. Mr. Miller has received his Bachelor in Physics from Johns Hopkins University, was a graduate instructor at Johns Hopkins University, holds an M.S., and was a Ph.D. Candidate in Physics at the University of Maryland. Mr. Miller also earned an M.B.A. in Finance & Marketing from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.

Gary Spivak joined Noble Financial in April 2010 as a senior
research analyst in the Technology sector
covering Enterprise Software. Prior to joining
Wall Street, Gary had extensive industry
experience in the IT department at MetLife as a
computer programmer and project manager where he
evaluated, installed, and supported a number of
software products used in the IT Operations
Centers. As a sell-side analyst, Gary has
covered the Enterprise Software sector for over
twelve years, having started his Wall Street
career at SoundView Technology Group, a
technology-focused boutique investment bank and
broker/dealer. He joined Kaufman Bros. in
2003 as a vice president covering the software
sector. Mr. Spivak was recruited in 2004 to be
the first software analyst at Stanford Group and
was promoted to be the director of equity
research in 2005. Gary holds the Series 7, 24,
63, 86, and 87 licenses. He has an M.B.A. from
Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from
Binghamton University.
Francisco Penafiel -
Supervisory Research Analyst
Francisco Penafiel joined Noble Financial in
2002 after earning his Master of Science in
Economics, with concentrations in Finance and
International Economics from Florida Atlantic
University. He obtained his undergraduate degree
from Escuela Superior Politécnica in
Ecuador, where he double-majored in Statistics
and Computing Science. At Noble, Francisco is
responsible for the Research Department’s
computer modeling analysis and statistical
review, as well as report issuance and
compliance. He is also a member of the Company’s
Investment Policy Committee. Although Mr.
Penafiel is a generalist in his capacity of
research analyst, he is gaining specialization
in the communications and retail industries.
Francisco holds various NASD licenses and is a
candidate in the CFA program.
Michael Petusky is Noble Financial's senior research analyst covering the Healthcare Services sector. Prior to joining the company, Michael covered healthcare stocks for Thompson Davis & Co. (2002-2007), Branch Cabell, and its successor firms (1995-2002). His areas of professional interest include disease management, pharmacy, surgery centers, and rehabilitation. Michael has been quoted in national publications such as Business Week, Investor’s Business Daily, Smart Money Magazine, and The Washington Post. In 2010, he received a StarMine analyst award for his stock picking ability among analysts covering Healthcare Services. Michael has a B.B.A. (Finance-concentration) from University of Richmond and also holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Erica Layon

Xiaoye "Charlie" Wang
– Research Analyst
Charlie Wang is an associate analyst covering the Medical
Technology industry. Prior to joining Noble Financial, he
was an associate analyst at A.G. Edwards and Rodman &
Renshaw. Charlie also worked at Scientia Advisors, a
consulting company focusing on life science, where he
advised a Fortune 50 company on strategic opportunities with
healthcare companies in China. Previously, he was a research
fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and has published
several scientific papers. Charlie has a B.S. in Genetics, a
graduate degree in Biochemistry, and an M.B.A. in Finance
from Cornell University.
